  • What is ECOBOT?
ECOBOT is a range of fully automated Organic waste management systems capable of converting all types of organic food and garden waste to fertilizer automatically.
  • What types of waste can be processed in ECOBOT?
All types of organic waste including vegetable and fruit peels and leftovers, meat waste, fish waste, egg shells, garden waste, leaves, tissues, fast food waste, bread, rice, small bones, compostable bags and cutlery, animal manure, seaweed, poultry mortality and various other organic waste types can be recycled in ECOBOT.
  • What types of waste cannot be processed in ECOBOT?
Any hard articles and inorganic waste like glass, plastics, metals, wood, large branches, coconut shells, large bones and similar items should not be fed into ECOBOT. In case the waste has a high oil/fat content, a small amount of saw dust/coco peat/newspaper/rice husk may be added as absorbent due to the insulating nature of oil.
  • Are there any harmful gases or odor emitted during the process?
No Harmful Gases are emitted. It is a odorless and emission free process making it a suitable technology for installations in residential as well as commercial locations. The exhaust outlet should be connected to a closed sewage line for removal of any odor generated during the decomposition process. In case this connection is not feasible, we do provide odor reduction solutions like scrubbers and activated carbon filters.
  • Does the waste need to be shredded before feeding?
No seperate shredding is required. ECOBOT is an all-in-one solution equipped with an in-built high strength, corrossion resistant high strength alloy shredder capable of shredding the toughest of waste particles. The operator simply has to feed the waste into the waste inlet and the waste is automatically shredded before entering the conversion chamber below.
  • What is the purpose of the secondary inlet?
ECOBOT is equipped with a primary shredder inlet as well as a secondary inlet. This secondary inlet can be used to add semi liquid waste or waste that does not require shredding as well as it can be utilized by the operator for viewing the process status.
  • What sizes are the ECOBOT systems available in?
ECOBOT is available in capacities wanging from 25 kgs to 5000 kgs waste per day.
  • What type of locations can ECOBOT be installed in?
ECOBOT can be installed at any location generating more than 15 kgs organic waste per day. This includes Residential/Apartment complexes, Hotels, Commercial complexes, Supermarkets, Cafeterias, Canteens, Factories, Villa schemes, Hospitals, Municipal waste processing centers, Food Warehouses, Restaurants or any other location where food waste is being generated.
  • What happens if the operator feeds any hard article in the machine?
Feeding of any hard/inorganic material can cause mechanical damage. However, to reduce the risk of damage, all ECOBOT variants come equipped with mechanical protection systems and sensors that automatically stop the machine if any hard article is jammed in the conversion chamber. Audio alarms and visual warnings on the Touchscreen inform the operator of the issue.
  • How much time does ECOBOT take to process the waste into soil supplement?
Typically, process time ranges from 16-24 hours depending on the type and contents of the waste. It may take longer in certain instances if the waste contains a high fat or water content. In such cases process time can be normalized by adding a bulking agent as advised by our service agent.
  • Can I add compostable and PLA cutlery, cups and plates?
Yes, ECOBOT accepts most compostable packaging and cutlery. Upto 20% compostable cutlery/packaging may be added along with food waste in each batch. However, ensure that you do not add especially hard items like wooden cutlery.
  • Is it easy to operate ECOBOT?
ECOBOT is a Feed-and-forget system designed for ease of use. Simply feed the waste through the inbuilt shredder and start the batch. The machine takes care of everything else and automatically goes to Power save mode on process completion.
  • How can I use the end product generated from ECOBOT?
ECOBOT achieves upto 90% volume reduction of the waste. The end product generated is a dry, powdery, soil like fertilizer that can be mixed with soil in 1:10 ratio to be used for gardening or horticulture activities. Alternatively, the material may be layered under the top layer of soil to allow for slow discharge of nutrients into the soil.
  • How do I know that the process is complete?
The inbuilt moisture sensor detects the process completion and switches the machine into Power Saving Mode automatically. Through an optional Online monitoring device you can be notified about the completion on your phone.
  • Does the waste burn in ECOBOT EB models if not switched off after 24 hours?
The EB models are equipped with our proprietary moisture sensor which detects the moisture level in the waste. As soon as the process is completed and the appropriate moisture level is achieved the machine automatically goes in to a Power Saving mode. There is no possibility of burning of the waste.
